DESCRIPTION:  Creates the Compaq Microcom 510 56K External Fax Modem  
With V.90 Installation Diskette, which contains the latest modem INF
file and setup programs for Advanced Parallel Technology (APT).   

Enhancements/Fixes:
 - The INF file adds V.90 support.
 - The Locale Utility adds identification information for European
   countries and the European Union. 
  
HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
   to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable 
   with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
   and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
   insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the  
   SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. When you have created the Installation Diskette, you will find
   instructions for how to install programs in the Compaq Microcom 
   510 56K External Fax Modem Getting Started Guide, which came with
   your modem CD ROM.  In general, to install the files, from the
   Installation Diskette in drive A:\, select SETUP.EXE.    
   For instructions on how to use the diskette, you MUST obtain 
   SoftPaq SP9991.EXE and read the instructions in README.TXT.
   Also see special instructions in SP9993.EXE, this Softpaq about
   which you are now reading, for the Installation Diskette:
   - for Windows 3.x and Windows 95 (and Windows 98), open the file 
   README.TXT. 
   - for Windows NT, open the file READMENT.TXT.
