DESCRIPTION:
This Beta SoftPaq provides Compaq Insight Management Agents for testing 
with Windows 2000 Beta 3.


HOW TO USE:

1.  !!!IMPORTANT!!!   !!!IMPORTANT!!!   !!!IMPORTANT!!!   !!!IMPORTANT!!! 

Before proceeding with an upgrade from Windows NT to Windows 2000 on a system 
that currently has the Compaq Insight Management Agents installed please read
the file README.TXT that is included with the SoftPaq. 

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file SP8399.EXE
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for 
the files, or default to the download directory.

The following files should be created:

CMAW2KB3.EXE
README.TXT
STARTAGENTS.CMD
STOPAGENTS.CMD

4.  After the files have been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

5. Follow the directions in readme.txt to install these files.
