DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq unpacks the file required to install 
and configure the Compaq Power Management Software version 1.41. 
This software is used in conjunction with Compaq Insight Agents version
4.21 from SmartStart version 4.21.  It's purpose is to correct an issue 
which may occur during system boot up where CPMWMGMT.EXE is not able to 
load properly.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to an empty directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for 
the files, or default to the download directory.

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

The following files will be extracted:
    CPM141.exe
    Readme.txt

4. After the files have been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

5. Refer to README.TXT for instructions on installing and using the newly download 
Compaq Power Management software.
