DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq is for Japanese products, and cannot be run 
in United States mode. This SoftPaq creates two files -- a description 
file and a self-extracting executable file.  The self-extracting 
executable file contains Compaq Server Support for Microsoft Windows 
NT 4.0 that supports the following subsystems and features of Compaq
Servers:
 
   Compaq Advanced Network Control Utility
   Compaq Ethernet or Fast Ethernet Controllers
        Compaq Fast Ethernet NIC NC3120
        Compaq Fast Ethernet NIC NC3121
        Compaq Fast Ethernet NIC NC3122

Enhancements/Fixes:

The release of the Compaq Server Support for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0
Version 2.10 Revision B, primarily supports a fix for Compaq Server 
Support Setup for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Version 2.10 as described 
in the text below:

Compaq Server Support Setup for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0(SETUP.EXE) 
-	Modified Compaq Server Support Setup for Microsoft Windows 
	NT 4.0 to disallow the Update option to be performed on a 
	Compaq Ethernet or Fast Ethernet Controller if a newer version 
	of the Compaq Ethernet or Fast Ethernet Controller Driver is 
	detected on the system.

For details, refer to NTREADME.HLP in the created support files.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for 
the files, or default to the download directory.
The following files will be created:
       README.TXT
       NICS.EXE

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. From the directory in which the files are created, execute the 
self-extracting executable:
       NICS.EXE [ENTER]

5. Follow the instructions on the screen to extract (unzip) the support 
software files to a folder on your hard drive and run the program 
SETUP.EXE to install the software.
