DESCRIPTION:  Creates a ROMPaq diskette that allows a user to update the 
System ROM in a Compaq Professional Workstation AP200 to the 12/22/98 version.  
The diskette also contains foreign language modules that can be used to 
flash foreign language strings into the system ROM for use in F10 Setup.  

Enhancements/Fixes:
- Includes a fix for ELSA XXL AGP video card initialization.
- Fix to prevent system going to sleep while running NT 4.0.
- Added Intel Celeron 366MHz and Pentium II 450MHz support.
- Fixed L2 Cache Latency initialization problem for the
  Intel Celeron 300A & 333 MHz processors.
- Fixed minor floppy initialization problem.
- Fixed problem where Windows 98 appears to hang for 15 seconds
  while loading up.
- Updated USB keyboard emulation to include support for
  capslock, numlock, and scroll lock.
- Added code to properly initialize video adapters based on
  3DLabs graphics ASIC.
- Changed Setup to make time and date read-only when the
  correct administrator password has not been entered.
- Fixed a problem in which the IBM Magnetic device driver
  locks up when no mouse is installed.
- Fixed a warm boot hang when USB keyboard is attached.
- Fixed a warm boot hang when changing the USB security option
  in Setup.
- Made various ACPI changes per recommendations as required
  for logo and as recommended from Microsoft.
- Fixed Computer Setup Save & Restore problem where the serial
  number was getting transferred during a save and restore
  from one system to another.
- Added Computer Setup options to control F10 prompt, F12 prompt,
  and Option ROM prompting during POST.
- Added new "Output Only" printer mode in Computer Setup.
- Added Computer Setup option to disable PME wake-up.  This works
  around the problem of certain non-PME compliant network
  cards constantly waking up the system and thereby preventing
  shutdown.
- Fixed various resume-on-ring logo issues.
- Added code to reduce power consumption in Sleep mode when
  using a Matrox Eclipse card under NT 4.0.
- Improved fan control algorithm.
- Fixed problem where DIMM Asset Management information was
  reported incorrectly for faster processors.
	
HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. Keeping the newly created diskette in the A: drive, cycle 
system power to boot from the ROMPaq diskette.

6. Follow the on-screen instructions to flash the System ROM.

WARNING: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR ATTEMPT TO REBOOT THE COMPUTER 
DURING THE SYSTEM ROM FLASH PROCESS!!!!

Flash Recovery Instructions (in case of system ROM corruption):

1) Power down the computer to be flashed.  

2) Insert the ROMPaq diskette into the floppy drive and power up 
   the computer.  If the system ROM is corrupt the computer will beep and
   no video will be seen. 

3) If the flash diskette is bad or no diskette is installed, the NUM LOCK 
   keyboard LED will turn ON.  The CAPS LOCK and SCROLL LOCK keyboard LEDs 
   will be OFF.

4) If the computer has a setup password set, the CAPS LOCK keyboard LED will 
   be ON.  The NUM LOCK and SCROLL LOCK keyboard LEDs will be OFF.  Please 
   enter your setup password at this time.

5) The ROMPaq diskette will boot and begin the flash process.  Do not 
   turn off the computer until the flash is completed.

6) If the flash is SUCCESSFUL, the NUM LOCK, CAPS LOCK, and SCROLL LOCK 
   keyboard LEDs will be turned ON.  Also, the computer will play a series of 
   rising tones at the end of a good flash.  Remove the ROMPaq diskette
   and cycle power.

   If the flash FAILS, the SCROLL LOCK LED will be ON and the CAPS LOCK and 
   NUM LOCK LEDS will be OFF.

WARNING: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR ATTEMPT TO REBOOT THE COMPUTER 
DURING THE SYSTEM ROM FLASH PROCESS!!!!
