DESCRIPTION:  Unpacks the files needed to install the Alpha Workstation 
QLogic PCI SCSI Adapter QLA1xxx Miniport Driver for Windows NT 4.0, which is 
used in the Professional Workstations mentioned above (see PRODUCTS AFFECTED).

This release has been tested with Windows NT 4.0 with all
available service packs as of this date. This applies to both the
server builds.

With Windows NT Version 3.51 and above, the QLogic miniport driver is
distributed with the Windows NT operating system. The driver included
with that distribution is older than the driver enclosed on this 
Softpaq even though the version number of the driver on the 
distribution may have a higher number.  The version number on the 
distribution reflects Microsoft's numbering to coincide with the 
release version number. Install this updated version from the enclosed
Softpaq for improved performance.

HOW TO USE

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that 
directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with a filename based 
on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file and follow the 
on-screen instructions to unpack the files into a directory. 

3. To Install the driver, please refer to README.TXT file included with the 
unpacked files.  

4. After a successful installation, you may delete the unpacked files from
step 2 if you wish.
