DESCRIPTION:  This video driver update fixes an issue with Presario 1800 
and 1810 notebooks that would cause intermittent lockups while running a 
Direct Draw application, such as Compaq Service Connection (BackWeb).  
The update provides DirectX certification for the other models mentioned 
in Products Affected.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename 
based on the SoftPaq Number above.  

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions 
to install the driver update.  Click on "Yes" to confirm that you want to 
install the update.

3. Read the Licensing Agreement and click on "I Agree". 

4. Read the reboot warning, click on "OK", and the installation will 
begin.  

5. The PC will reboot and configure the driver settings, and the
installation will ask to reboot the machine again.  Click "OK" to finish
the installation.

6. After the files have been installed, you may delete the self-extracting 
file downloaded in step 1.
