DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq creates all files that are part of Compaq
Server Support for Microsoft Windows 2000 Beta 3.  These files
support the following subsystems and features of Compaq ProLiant and
ProSignia Servers.

   Compaq SMART/SMART-2 Controller Driver
   Compaq Fibre Channel Host Controllers SCSI Miniport Driver
   Compaq SCSI Controller Driver
   Compaq PCI Hot Plug Filter Driver
   Compaq Netelligent/NetFlex-3 Controller Driver

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From the download directory, execute the SoftPaq.  When executed 
with no parameters, files are extracted into the current directory.
To extract the files into a different directory, specify the complete 
path of the directory as a parameter:

    SP8947 <path>

Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.  When requested, enter 
"Y" to confirm and files are unpacked into the download (or specified) 
directory.  

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. After extraction is complete, please refer to the file READ1ST.TXT or
READ1ST.HTM for further information and SSD component installation
instructions.
