DESCRIPTION:  Creates the Flash Recovery ROMPaq Firmware Diskette for the 
Compaq Professional Workstation AP400 and AP500.  The flash recovery diskette 
is used when the System ROM is corrupt and a normal ROMPaq diskette will 
not work because no video is available.  The flash recovery ROMPaq 
overcomes this situation by using a combination of system beeps and 
system LEDs to communicate with the user.  The diskette contains an image 
of the 11-12-98 AP400/AP500 System ROM. 

Enhancements/Fixes:
 - Adds support for the ELSA Gloria XXL video controller (GLINT 3D Labs).
 - Prevents the system from going to sleep while running Windows NT 4.0.
 - Fixes a possible lockup when Windows 98 is restarted in DOS mode.	
 - Adds year 2000 support for critical and non-critical error logs.

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. Detailed instructions on how to use the flash recovery diskette are 
in a README.TXT file located on the flash diskette.
