DESCRIPTION:  Copies and expands files containing the Firmware Update
Utility for Germany for the Compaq 56K External Fax Modem
with Voice.  By default, the files are copied into the directory 
where the SoftPaq is located; however, the user may choose to enter 
a different path. 

To update the K56Flex version of the Compaq 56K External Fax Modem
with Voice to the ITU V.90 Standard, you must also have the Compaq 56K
External Fax Modem with Voice Installation Diskette Version 2.20 or
later (Version 2.20 is available as SoftPaq SP8792 on the Compaq
Website).

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
   to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable
   with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file and
   follow the on-screen instructions. You will be prompted to confirm
   (or change) the name and location of the directory, into which the
   files contained in the SoftPaq will be expanded.

3. After expansion, you may delete the SoftPaq file downloaded in 
   step 1 above.

4. Use a text editor to read and print the Readme.txt file, which can
   be found in the directory into which the SoftPaq files were 
   expanded.  This file contains detailed instructions on how to use 
   the Firmware Update Utility.
