DESCRIPTION:   This release provides updated system ROM images
for the latest maintenance releases of ProLiant 800(P18),
ProLiant 1600(P08), ProLiant 2500(E50), and ProLiant 6500(P11)
Server products.

		Fixed problem with ISA slot 4 not allowing a modem to work correctly.



        ROM P11  ProLiant 6500 (11/13/1998)
        ===================================

		Fix issue with mixing Intel Pentium II Xeon processor
		speeds. The issue caused POST to report processor speeds
		incorrectly and would cause certain Compaq software to
		incorrectly identify processor speeds in systems running
		with processors of different speeds.






HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP8700.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP8700 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP8700.EXE if you wish.

5.  Refer to README.TXT on the diskette for instructions on installing and using the
software.
