DESCRIPTION:  This program uninstalls Compaq Home Base, as a solution to 
the following problems that Presario users may encounter when upgrading 
from Microsoft Windows 95 to Windows 98:

 - Unable to add a New User after the logon screen
 - "Unhandled Exception" error message when the "Q" Easy Access Button 
   is pressed to open Home Base

This SoftPaq can be used to uninstall Home Base for any reason, whether running 
Windows 95 or Windows 98.  Once Home Base is removed, when the PC is started the 
Windows logon screen appears instead of the Home Base screen. 

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq file SP8671.EXE to a directory on your hard drive.

2. Execute SP8671.EXE and follow the on-screen instructions to run the utility to 
uninstall Home Base. 

3. You must restart the PC before the changes take affect.
