DESCRIPTION: This release provides an updated
system ROM image for the latest maintenance
release of Compaq ProLiant 6000/7000(P43).

    Fixed problem where Compaq SMART Array controllers would fail to initialize
	after power-up from hot plug replacement or hot add.





HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP8634.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP8634 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP8634.EXE if you wish.

5.  Refer to README.TXT on the diskette for instructions on installing and using the
software.
