DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq is for Japanese products, and cannot be 
run in United States mode.  This SoftPaq creates two files -- a description 
file and a self-extracting executable file.  The self-extracting executable 
file contains Compaq Support Software for Microsoft Windows NT 3.51
that supports the following subsystems and features of

Enhancements/Fixes:

The release of the Compaq Support Software for Microsoft Windows NT 3.51, 
Version 1.31 Revision B, primarily supports an updated Compaq Support 
Software Setup for Microsoft Windows NT program and the new Compaq 
Professional Workstation AP500.

Compaq Support Software Setup for Microsoft Windows NT
  - Added installation support for the Compaq ATAPI/IDE Controller to 
    Compaq Support Software Setup for Microsoft Windows NT to ensure 
    the proper operation of the Compaq ATAPI/IDE Controller on a Compaq 
    Professional Workstation AP500.

  - Modified Compaq Support Software Setup for Microsoft Windows NT, so 
    that the Compaq System Management driver will not be installable on 
    a Compaq Professional Workstation AP500. 

For details, refer to NTREADME.HLP in the created support files.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for 
the files, or default to the download directory.
The following files will be created:
       README.TXT
       WKST.EXE

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. From the directory in which the files are created, execute the 
self-extracting executable:
       WKST.EXE [ENTER]

5. Follow the instructions on the screen to extract (unzip) the support 
software files to a folder on your hard drive and run the program 
SETUP.EXE to install the software.
