DESCRIPTION:  Creates a diskette containing patches for the handheld C-Series.
These patches fix known issues in C-Series ROM versions of 1.62 and earlier.
Attempting to apply the fixes on C-Series with later ROM versions will have 
no effect, since only the files required by each C-Series are downloaded from
the desktop to the C-Series.

IMPORTANT:  Do not use the "PC Card Restore" or "Auto Restore" (also called 
Flash Manager Restore) that came with your C-Series until you have applied 
the patches in this SoftPaq.  Both "PC Card Restore" and "Auto Restore" are 
updated by this patch installer.

Enhancements/Fixes:  
The README.TXT file on the created diskette contains detailed information on 
the patch files that apply to each system component.  This SoftPaq contains 
updates for the following C-Series components --
 - UK Modem
 - Italian, International English, and Brazilian Portuguese Keyboards
 - Serial and infrared ports
 - Backlight
 - PC Card Restore
 - Auto Restore (Flash Manager Restore)

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. For instructions on using your desktop PC to install the patches onto 
your C-Series, refer to README.TXT on the created diskette.
