DESCRIPTION: Unpacks special setup files that can be used to configure
the Easy Access Buttons included with some of the Presario notebook
models mentioned above. This option pack allows all buttons
(F1, F2, and Internet Button) to optionally be re-programmed to launch any
program or access any Internet site.
IMPORTANT: By using this software to change the default settings of any of
the Internet buttons, the ability to program that button through the Compaq
Website is lost. To re-establish the ability to program the button through
the Compaq Website, you must restore the default settings of that button.
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
to that directory. The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.
2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for
the files, or default to the download directory.
3. After the files have been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.
4. To install, run EAOPPACK.EXE from the download directory.
5. After a successful installation, you may delete the unpacked files
from the download directory if you wish.
