DESCRIPTION: This release provides updated
system ROM images for the latest maintenance
releases of Compaq ProSignia 300/500 (E15),
Compaq ProSignia 200 (P01),and Compaq
ProSignia 200 (P05) server products.

Problems Fixed - 


     ROM P01 - ProSignia 200  (08/27/1998)

	 Bootable CDs were conflicting with the devices they were
	 emulating.  This has been corrected.



     ROM P05 - ProSignia 200  (09/08/1998)
     ========================================

	 Bootable CDs were conflicting with the devices they were
	 emulating.  This has been corrected.

	 Support for an EISA memory hole between 15MB and 16MB
	 was added back in after being removed in the 8/17/98
	 ROM which was not made widely available.





HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP8172.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP8172 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP8172.EXE if you wish.

5.  Refer to README.TXT on the diskette for instructions on installing and using the
software.
