DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq creates two files -- a description file and a
self-extracting executable file.  The self-extracting executable file 
contains Compaq Workstation Support Software for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0
that supports the following subsystems and features of 
Compaq Professional Workstations:
 
   Diamond Multimedia Fire GL 4000 Graphics Controller
   Compaq Workstation Support Software Installation utility

Enhancements/Fixes:

The release of the Compaq Workstation Support Software for Microsoft 
Windows NT 4.0, Version 2.00 Revision A, supports the following Compaq 
Professional Workstations:

?	Compaq Professional Workstation AP500
?	Compaq Professional Workstation AP400
?	Compaq Professional Workstation AP200
?	Compaq Professional Workstation 8000
?	Compaq Professional Workstation 6000

This release is the first Compaq Workstation SSD for Windows NT release 
to support workstation-only products.

Note:  The Compaq Support Software for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, which 
supported Compaq Professional Workstations and Compaq ProLiant and 
ProSignia Servers, is no longer a combined product. The two new products 
are Compaq Workstation Support Software for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 
Version 2.00A (or later) for Compaq Professional Workstations and Compaq 
Server Support for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Version 2.10A (or later) for 
Compaq ProLiant and ProSignia Servers.

Diamond Multimedia Fire GL 4000 Graphics Controller?(FGL4K.SYS)

?	Updated the Diamond Multimedia Fire GL 4000 Graphics Controller 
	Driver from Version 2.1.0.29 to 4.00.1381.2137. This updated driver 
	corrects the following in these applications:

SoftImage (OpenGL application)

?	Fixed antialiasing feature (accumulation buffer).

Pro/Engineer (OpenGL application)

?	Added extensions GL_EXT_polygon_offset and GL_EXT_vertex_array.
?	Added profile that disables "Fast Polygon Offset."

3D Studio Max

?	Added extension GL_WIN_swap_hint.
?	Added PFD_COPY_SWAP and PFD_COPY_EXCHANGE to pixel formats. Copy 
	swap is used if the application requests the PFD_COPY_SWAP bit.

Maya application

?	Fixed GL_FEEDBACK mode (corrected wrong coordinates in feedback 
	buffer).
?	Fixed overlay planes that were disabled by the changes for the 
	extensions.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for 
the files, or default to the download directory.
The following files will be created:
       README.TXT
       DMND.EXE

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. From the directory in which the files are created, execute the 
self-extracting executable:
       DMND.EXE [ENTER]

5. Follow the instructions on the screen to extract (unzip) the support 
software files to a folder on your hard drive and run the program 
SETUP.EXE to install the software.
