DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq creates the Compaq Workstation Support Software
(WSSD) for the Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 diskettes.  There are a total
of eight diskettes with this release. The SSD supports the

The release of the Compaq Workstation Support Software for Microsoft 
Windows NT 4.0, Version 2.00 Revision A, supports the following Compaq 
Professional Workstations:

This release is the first Compaq Workstation SSD for Windows NT release to 
support workstation-only products.

Note:  The Compaq Support Software for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, which 
supported Compaq Professional Workstations and Compaq ProLiant and ProSignia 
Servers, is no longer a combined product. The two new products are Compaq 
Workstation Support Software for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Version 2.00A 
(or later) for Compaq Professional Workstations and Compaq Server Support for 
Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Version 2.10A (or later) for Compaq ProLiant and 
ProSignia Servers.

ELSA GLoria-Synergy/Synergy+ 3D Graphics Controller (EGLPM.SYS)

?	Updated the ELSA GLoria-Synergy/Synergy+ 3D Graphics Controller 
	Driver from Version 5.33.00.310.2 to 5.33.02.310 to support the 
	Compaq Professional Workstation SP700.

STB MVP Workstation Graphics Controller (MVP3D.SYS)

?	Updated the STB MVP Workstation Graphics Controller Driver from 
	Version 1.23F to 3.07. This updated driver corrects system lockups 
	in configurations with two processors.

Diamond Multimedia Fire GL 4000 Graphics Controller (FGL4K.SYS)

?	Updated the Diamond Multimedia Fire GL 4000 Graphics Controller Driver 
	from Version 2.1.0.29 to 4.00.1381.2137. This updated driver corrects 
	the following in these applications:

SoftImage (OpenGL application)
?	Fixed antialiasing feature (accumulation buffer).

Pro/Engineer (OpenGL application)
?	Added extensions GL_EXT_polygon_offset and GL_EXT_vertex_array.

?	Added PFD_COPY_SWAP and PFD_COPY_EXCHANGE to pixel formats. Copy swap

?	Added profile that disables "Fast Polygon Offset".

	Compaq ProLiant Storage System. The updated Compaq ProLiant Storage 
	System driver provides support for 15 drives and checks alarms for fan, 
	temperature, and Hot Plug events.

Compaq SCSI Controller Driver (CPQ32FS2.SYS)
?	Added support to the Compaq SCSI Controller Driver for the Compaq 
	ProLiant Storage System.

Compaq SMART/SMART-2 Array Controller Driver (CPQARRAY.SYS)
?	Updated the Compaq SMART/SMART-2 Array Controller Driver version from 
	3.24 to 4.00.
?	Added 12-drive support and external cabinet support to the Compaq 
	SMART/SMART-2 Array Controller driver for the Compaq ProLiant Storage 
	System/UE.
?	Modified the Compaq SMART/SMART-2 Array Controller Driver to operate in 
	a reduced memory and Disk Dump SCSI port environment. The updated Compaq 
	SMART/SMART-2 Array Controller Driver allows EISA and PCI Controller Crash 
	Dump functionality to work properly when used in conjunction with Microsoft 
	Hot Fixes for Service Pack 3. For more information about the Microsoft Hot 
	Fixes for Service Pack 3 required to resolve the EISA and PCI Controller

Compaq System Management Driver (SYSMGMT.SYS)
?	Updated the Compaq System Management Driver version from 3.09.01 to 3.12.01.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain eight formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
    to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP8145.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded SoftPaq file:
      SP8145 [ENTER]
    and follow the on-screen instructions. The following files will be
    created:
       QRST5.EXE

       277342US._06
       277342US._07
       277342US._08
       277342US.DOC

4.  Please read 277342US.DOC for instructions on using QRST5 to create
    the diskettes and for the steps to install the software.

5.  After the disks are created, you may delete the downloaded file
    SP8145.EXE and the other files it created from your hard drive if you
    wish.
