DESCRIPTION: This SoftPaq is for Japanese products, and cannot be run
in United States mode. This SoftPaq creates two files -- a description
file and a self-extracting executable file. The self-extracting
executable file contains Compaq Support Software for Microsoft Windows
NT 4.0 that supports the following subsystems and features of
Compaq Professional Workstations:
ELSA Gloria-L 3D Graphics Controller
ELSA Gloria-XL 3D Graphics Controller
Compaq Support Software Installation utility
Enhancements/Fixes:
The release of the Compaq Support Software for Microsoft Windows
NT 4.0, Version 2.09 Revision A, primarily supports a new ELSA
GLoria-Synergy/Synergy + 3D Graphics Controller driver.
ELSA GLoria-Synergy/Synergy + 3D Graphics Controller(EGLPM.SYS)
Added support for the new ELSA GLoria-Synergy/Synergy +
3D Graphics Controller driver Version 5.33.00.310.2.
This new driver includes OpenGL Version 2.01.13.072,
Dual Monitor Support, and updated tools. It also
corrects single screen start-up and 3D Studio Max R2
application issues.
For details, refer to NTREADME.HLP in the created support files.
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
to that directory. The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.
2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for
the files, or default to the download directory.
The following files will be created:
README.TXT
ELSA.EXE
3. After the files have been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.
4. From the directory in which the files are created, execute the
self-extracting executable:
ELSA.EXE [ENTER]
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to extract (unzip) the support
software files to a folder on your hard drive and run the program
SETUP.EXE to install the software.
