SOFTPAQ UTILITY VERSION:  2.x

DESCRIPTION:  Creates files that are used with the Presario minitower and
microtower models mentioned above to upgrade the drivers in the integrated modem.
The new driver version is 2.1.2.120.1.

Enhancements/Fixes in this release:
- improved V.90 performance 
- Corrects errors in connect rate messages when connected to a V.90 Head End
- Fixes Win 98-related issue which causes a system lock when an incoming call
is received when no modem/communications applications are running
- Improves performance when playing Quake and Quake 2 over the internet


HOW TO USE:
1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.
2.  From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for 
the files, or default to the download directory.
3.  After the files have been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.
4. To install, run SETUP.EXE from the directory that you unpacked the files to. 
   In Windows 95/98, use the task bar to select Start, then Run. 
  
   Enter:
           C:\(target directory)\SETUP

   Follow on-screen instructions.
