DESCRIPTION: This SoftPaq is for Japanese products, and cannot be run
in United States mode. It creates four diskettes.
The NSSD diskettes contain NetWare and intraNetWare drivers, NetWare
Loadable Modules (NLMs), and support information to optimize the
performance of NetWare and IntranetWare on Compaq servers.
This software enhances the performance of Compaq options such as Compaq
Drive Array controllers, Compaq 32-Bit SCSI-2 controllers, and Compaq
CD-ROM drives.

Enhancements/Fixes:
 - CPQICMD.NLM was updated to allow the installation of PCI Hot Plug
software on non-PCI Hot Plug systems without prompting the user to
choose settings on the PCI Hot Plug Reservation Table. Earlier
versions of CPQICMD.NLM would prompt the user to choose settings on
the PCI Hot Plug Reservation Table after loading PCI Hot Plug software
on non-PCI Hot Plug systems. This effort provided no realized gain to
   non-PCI Hot Plug systems.

 - CPQTRPCI.COM v1.01 provides support for the Compaq Netelligent 4/16 TR
   UTP/STP Controllers.

 - CPQTRPCI.LAN v2.08 provides support for the Compaq Netelligent 4/16 TR
   PCI Controller.

 - N100.LAN is a new addition to NSSD which provides NetWare server
   support for the following devices:

    - Compaq Netelligent 10/100 TX PCI Intel UTP Controller
    - Compaq Netelligent 10T PCI Intel UTP Controller
    - Compaq Netelligent 10/100 TX PCI Intel WOL UTP Controller

 - N100ODI.COM is a new addition to NSSD which provides DOS ODI support
   for the following devices:

    - Compaq Netelligent 10/100 TX PCI Intel UTP Controller
    - Compaq Netelligent 10T PCI Intel UTP Controller
    - Compaq Netelligent 10/100 TX PCI Intel WOL UTP Controller

 - NFT.NLM is a new addition to NSSD and provides controller redundancy
for two Compaq 10/100 PCI controllers or two NC3121 Fast Ethernet
network interface cards (NICs), or one of each.

 - PCNTNW.LAN was updated to comply with the ODI 3.31 specification for
   intraNetWare.

 - OS/2 support has been removed from NSSD 3.22 and later. Please refer
to NSSD 3.21 for OS/2 client driver support.

 - Novell currently only supports the use of NDIS drivers for Client32
for Windows and NT. Please refer to the Client32 documentation for
   driver installation information.

 - CPQARRAY.HAM v1.20 adds support for the Compaq SMART Array 3100ES
   Controller.

 - CPQFC.HAM v1.02 prevents an ABEND from occurring during
initialization when memory allocation problems occur under NetWare 3.2.

 - CPQONLIN.NLM v2.20 supports the Compaq SMART Array 3100ES
   Controller features.

 - CPQONLIN.NLM v2.20 adds support for 64MB cache on the Compaq SMART
   Array 3100ES Controller.

 - CPQONLIN.NLM v2.20 displays the following error message when a
DDFS driver does not support the Compaq SMART Array 3100ES
   Controller, or greater:

"The currently loaded array driver does not support this
controller. This controller requires CPQARRAY.HAM version 1.20
or later. Please make sure you have the latest driver loaded on
     the system."

 - CPQONLIN.NLM v2.20 supports the 64-bit cache on the Compaq Fibre
   Channel Storage System.

 - CPQONLIN.NLM v2.20 adds support of up to four (4) system buses,
and up to fifteen (15) drives per system bus.

 - CPQONLIN.NLM v2.20 adds support to distinguish between a SMART-2/P
   and a SMART-2DH controller.

 - CPQONLIN.NLM v2.20 displays the following message when attempting
to run the array configuration utility on NetWare 5.0:
"This version of the array configuration utility does not
support NetWare 5.0. Please obtain a newer version of
     CPQONLIN."

 - CPQHLTH.NLM v4.01 adds support for the Compaq ProLiant 1850R.

 - CPQHLTH.NLM v4.01 adds support for the Compaq Pentium II Xeon
   ProLiant 6000/7000.

 - CPQRI.NLM v2.00 has been updated to provide support for the PCI
version of the Remote Insight Board. This support requires the use
   of CPQHLTH.NLM v4.00 or later.

 - CPQSBD.NLM displays a message when it locates a Hot Plug
   controller.

 - CPQSBD.NLM displays a message when it does not locate a Hot Plug
controller, indicating the system does not support PCI Hot Plug.

 - CPQSBD.NLM v2.10 has been updated to correctly display the message

"Power Fault" in the Event Log entry when there is a power fault in
the first Hot Plug slot of a system bus. Previously, the message
"Unexpected Slot Power Loss" would display when this power fault
    occurred."

 - CPQSBD.NLM v2.10 was updated to support the latest revisions of
the Hot Plug controller for future hardware.

 - CPQSMP.PSM was updated to prevent lost and spurious hardware
interrupts when PCI adapters are hot-plug added to SMP ProLiant
Pentium II Xeon systems like the ProLiant 7000.

The readme files for NSSD are available as a WINHELP file, located
on diskette #2. The WHATSNEW.RDM file, found on diskette #2, contains
detailed information about the updates, new features, and fixes in
this version. Refer to the WHATSNEW.RDM file for specific driver names
and version numbers.

HOW TO USE

1. Obtain five(5) formatted 1.44 MB diskettes.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
to that directory. The file that is downloaded is an executable with
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
and follow the on-screen instructions. You will be prompted to
insert the formatted diskettes in a drive to create the diskettes.

4. After the diskettes have been created, you may delete the
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. For installation instructions, refer to READ1ST.RDM and WHATSNEW.RDM
on the created diskettes.
