DESCRIPTION:  Creates a bootable diskette with an update that prevents a 
potential memory conflict in Microsoft Windows 95 that can cause Presario 
computers with exactly 64 MB of RAM to lock up due to a Windows 95 protection 
error in NTKERN during system start-up.  This problem is more likely to occur 
on faster processors and may not occur on slower processors.

If you are experiencing this problem, apply this update.

The update limits the amount of hard disk cache used by Windows 95 by 
setting MaxFileCache=6000 in the [vcache] section of SYSTEM.INI.  

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. To install, put the diskette into the A: drive and restart the system, 
allowing it to boot from the diskette.  Follow on-screen instructions.
