DESCRIPTION: This SoftPaq creates two files -- a description file and a
self-extracting executable file. The self-extracting executable file
contains Compaq Support Software for Microsoft Windows NT 3.51
that supports the following subsystems and features of
Compaq Professional Workstations:
STB Systems MVP Workstation Display Controller
STB Systems MVP Pro 128 Graphics Controller
Compaq Support Software Installation Utility
Enhancements/Fixes:
The release of the Compaq Support Software for Microsoft Windows
NT 3.51, Version 1.30 A, primarily supports the following new
products: the Compaq Professional Workstation AP400, the Compaq
Professional Workstation AP200, the Compaq ProLiant 1850R, the
Compaq ProLiant 6000 400-512K Model 1-128, the Compaq ProLiant
6000 400-1024K Model 2S-256, and the Compaq ProLiant 7000 400-1024K
Model 1S-256.
STB Systems MVP PRO 128 Graphics Controller
? Added new support for the STB Systems MVP PRO 128 Graphics
Controller driver. The Compaq Professional Workstations
that may use this driver are indicated in the section
entitled Video Support for Compaq Professional Workstations
and Compaq Servers.
For details, refer to NTREADME.HLP in the created support files.
The release of the Compaq Support Software for Microsoft Windows
NT 3.51, Version 1.31 A, primarily supports the Compaq ATAPI/IDE
Controller.
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
to that directory. The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.
2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for
the files, or default to the download directory.
The following files will be created:
README.TXT
STB.EXE
3. After the files have been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.
4. From the directory in which the files are created, execute the
self-extracting executable:
STB.EXE [ENTER]
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to extract (unzip) the support
software files to a folder on your hard drive and run the program
SETUP.EXE to install the software.
