DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq is for Japanese products, and cannot be run 
in United States mode.  It creates a bootable diskette with an update that 
prevents a potential memory conflict in Microsoft Windows 95 that can cause 
the specific Presario models mentioned above with exactly 64 MB of RAM to 
lock up due to a Windows 95 protection error in NTKERN during system start-up.  

If you are experiencing this problem, apply this update.

The update limits the amount of hard disk cache used by Windows 95 by 
setting MaxFileCache=6000 in the [vcache] section of SYSTEM.INI.  

The README.TXT file on the diskette contains update instructions.

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskettes.

4. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. For installation instructions, run README on the created diskette.
