DESCRIPTION: Unpacks three SoftPaqs required to enhance the performance of
Presario 1215, 1220 and 1220ES notebooks and resolve specific issues. The
three SoftPaqs (SP6545, SP7019, and SP7021) have all been released separately.
They are offered here as a group for customer convenience. If you have
downloaded them all individually, then you do not need this SoftPaq.

1. System ROM Upgrade (also available in SP6545)

Creates a bootable ROM upgrade diskette that can
be used to upgrade the System ROM in ONLY the Presario models
specifically mentioned in the PRODUCTS AFFECTED section above.

   Enhancements/Fixes:
    - Fixes modem dialing audio problems
    - Fixes page fault errors
    - Assures proper operation of processors used in later production
    - Assures proper operation of hotkeys
    - Fixes lock-ups in Microsoft Word and Outlook

2. Hard Drive Firmware Update (also available in SP7019)

Creates a bootable disk which updates the hard drive firmware for the
Integral Peripherals 2-GB Silhouette hard drive in ONLY the Presario
models specifically mentioned in the PRODUCTS AFFECTED section above.

   Enhancements/Fixes:
    - Resolves a performance issue by insuring that all the buffer memory
used by the drive for variable space is fully initialized after coming
      out of Standby.

3. Fix for JSCRIPT.DLL Errors (also available in SP7021)

Unpacks files needed to update the file JSCRIPT.DLL, which is a component
of Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0. This corrects a problem seen on the
affected Presario notebooks (see PRODUCTS AFFECTED) where Windows 95
"blue screen" errors occur randomly. The text messages associated with
the errors reference the "jscript.dll" file.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
to that directory. The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for
the files, or default to the download directory.
The unpacked files are:
    SP6545.EXE
    SP6545.TXT
    SP7019.EXE
    SP7019.TXT
    SP7021.EXE
    SP7021.TXT

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. Read the "TXT" file associated with each SoftPaq for instructions on
using each individual SoftPaq and applying the updates.
