Enhancements/Fixes:
- Fixes the problem where the driver would not install over the VGA driver.
- Modifies the display properties page to read: "ATI 3D Accelerator."
- Other minor fixes
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your
hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable
with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.
2. From the download directory, execute the SoftPaq. When executed
with no parameters, files are extracted into the current directory.
To extract the files into a different directory, specify the complete
path of the directory as a parameter:
SPxxxx <path>
Enter "Y" to confirm and files are unpacked into a subdirectory named
Disk_01 that is created under the download directory or the directory
specified.
3. After the files have been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.
4. The driver may be installed directly from the files on the download
directory or a driver diskette can be created. To create an optional
driver diskette, run MAKEDISK.BAT.
To install the driver, go to the Control Panel and select:
Display/Settings/Display Type
Verify that the Adapter Type is one of the ones listed above.
If it is not, then cancel and exit.
If it is, then continue to select:
Change/Have Disk
Type in the path to the download directory or select "Browse" to
specify the location of the files extracted in step 2.
5. Select OK to install the driver.
6. After the driver has been installed, you may delete the files
from the download directory if you wish.
