installation diskette to be created. The video ROM can only be updated
from DOS Mode. It cannot be updated from a DOS session.
Enhancements/Fixes:
- Adds support for 132-column modes without requiring a TSR program.
- Fixes minor bugs.
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your
hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable
with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.
2. From the download directory, execute the SoftPaq. When executed
with no parameters, files are extracted into the current directory.
To extract the files into a different directory, specify the complete
path of the directory as a parameter:
SPxxxx <path>
Enter "Y" to confirm and files are unpacked into a subdirectory named
Disk_01 that is created under the download directory or the directory
specified.
3. After the files have been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.
4. The video ROM may be installed directly from the files on the hard
drive or an installation diskette can be created.
To create an installation diskette, run MAKEDISK.BAT.
To install the video ROM, restart the computer in DOS Mode and
run FLASH.EXE.
IMPORTANT: This must be run from DOS Mode (not a DOS session).
To install from the hard drive, enter:
<path>\disk_01\flash GBCPQ023.084
where <path> is the drive and directory chosen in step 2
To install from the optional installation diskette, enter:
A:\flash GBCPQ023.084
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
