DESCRIPTION:  Creates a bootable ROM upgrade diskette that can
be used to upgrade the System ROM in ONLY the Presario models
specifically mentioned in the PRODUCTS AFFECTED section above.


Enhancements/Fixes:
- Fixes modem dialing audio problems, page fault errors, assures proper
  operation of processors used in later production, assures proper
  operation of hotkeys in all situations.
- Fixes lock-ups in Word and Outlook.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
    to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable
    with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
    and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to
    insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette has been created, you may delete the
    SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5.  From Windows 95, shut down the computer.

6.  Insert the created ROM upgrade diskette in drive A: and restart the
    computer, allowing the system to boot from the diskette.  The System ROM
    upgrade procedure starts automatically.

    IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF THE COMPUTER DURING THE UPGRADE PROCESS!
