DESCRIPTION:  Creates a bootable diskette containing Personal Computer 
Diagnostics for Compaq Presario computers.  PC Diagnostics can inspect the 
state of the computer and its devices.  It is pre-installed on the Diagnostics 
Partition.  The diskette in this SoftPaq can be used to update this utility on 
the Diagnostics Partition or to restore it if the Diagnostics Partition has been 
destroyed.   Diagnostics can be run by pressing F10 during power-up or reboot 
when the cursor jumps to the upper right corner of the screen.  Or it can be run 
directly from this diskette.

Enhancements/Fixes:
 - Adds support for new Presario models.  All Presario Models manufactured before
   April 1st, 1998 should be supported.

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain one (1) formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert the formatted diskettes in a drive to create the diskettes.

4. After the diskettes have been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. Refer to README.TXT on the diskette for instructions on using the software.
