DESCRIPTION:  Creates a bootable diskette to upgrade the System ROM to 
the 7/22/97 version on only Presario 4100 models with a 586T4 Family 
System ROM (see PRODUCTS AFFECTED above).  

Enhancements/Fixes:
 - Fixes problems that may occur when coming out of SLEEP mode, such as 
   lock-ups or video corruption.

 HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
    to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with
    a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
    and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to
    insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette has been created, you may delete the
    SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5.  Turn off the computer and insert the created diskette.

6.  Turn the computer ON.

7.  The computer boots from the diskette and a batch file applies the update.
    Follow the on-screen prompts.  When the update is complete, the notebook 
    beeps and displays a message.

8.  After the update has finished, remove the diskette and turn the unit OFF
    again.  The updated System ROM will be in effect the next time the 
    computer is started.
