DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq conveniently combines two other SoftPaqs into one, and 
adds an automatic Scandisk step as well as instructions for a fax modem fix.  It 
creates two diskettes to configure the modem in the UK Presario models mentioned above:

 - Creates a bootable diskette (Version 1.00) that can be used to correctly set the 
   DOS Codepage from US to UK.  (This diskette is also available from SoftPaq SP4664).  
   An automatic Scandisk step and a file with instructions for a fax modem fix are added.

 - Creates a diskette (Version 1.00 Rev A) that contains the complete modem driver; 
   does not upgrade the modem to a 56-Kbps modem.  
   (This diskette is also available from SoftPaq SP5017.)

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain two (2) formatted 1.44-MB diskettes.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert the formatted diskettes in a drive to create the diskettes.

4. After the diskettes have been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. Restart the computer with the bootable diskette (Diskette #1) in the A:
drive, allowing the computer to boot from the diskette.  Follow the directions 
and restart again when prompted.

6. Insert Diskette #2 into the A: drive, select Start, Run, and then enter:  

               a:\setup.exe

This installs the modem driver, using a special program on the diskette.

7. When the setup is complete, remove the diskette and restart the computer.

8. Re-insert Diskette #1 and follow the directions in the "FAX MODEM FIX.TXT" file.

9. The modem support software is now updated appropriately.
