DESCRIPTION: 

HOW TO USE: 

1. Obtain three formatted 1.44 MB diskettes. 

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory. The file that is downloaded is SP6307.EXE. 

3. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP6307 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place three formatted 1.44 MB diskettes into a 
diskette drive to create diskette. 

IMPORTANT: Only a 1.44 MB diskettes can be used, other types of media
cannot be substituted. 

4. After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP6307.EXE if you wish. 

5. At this point, a PC Diagnostics diskette and two Compaq Setup for
Workstations diskettes have been created.  To create or upgrade the 
diagnostics partition, boot the PC Diagnostics diskette, select Manage
Diagnostics Partition from the Compaq Utilities menu, then select 
either Create or Upgrade Diagnostic Partition.

6. To run TEST, INSPECT or SETUP from the Diagnostics Partition, 
create or upgrade the partition in step 5 above, then select the desired
option from the Compaq Utilities menu.

7. To run TEST or INSPECT from diskette without upgrading the
Diagnostic partition, boot the PC Diagnostics diskette then select either
TEST or INSPECT from  the Compaq Utilities menu.

8. To run SETUP from diskette without creating or upgrading the 
Diagnostic partition, boot the Compaq Setup for Workstations diskette 
number 1 then select Run Setup from the main menu.
