DESCRIPTION:  Creates the ROMPaq Firmware Update Diskette for the Compaq
Remote Insight Board, allowing a user to upgrade the board's ROM
firmware image to Version 1.11.  The Compaq Remote Insight Board is
a 32-bit, EISA-based, intelligent remote management board.  It is an
option that allows a server administrator to monitor server activity and
perform serveral remote functions to maintain system integrity.

Fixes:

  - Fixes an issue with the Remote Insight Board reporting "Battery
    Needs Replacement" for good batteries.
  - Fixes an issue with System Partition utilities running in graphics
    mode instead of text mode when viewed through remote console.

IMPORTANT:

  When upgrading from firmware version 1.00 to any version higher, the
  serial and modem configuration will be returned to defaults.  This is
  due to the change of the modem default configuration string in the 1.01
  firmware.  If upgrading between firmware versions 1.01 and higher,
  the serial and modem configurations will NOT change.

  After upgrading from firmware 1.00, run the system configuration and
  verify the configuration of the serial and/or modem meets your re-
  quirements.  If not, make the necessary changes.


HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2.  Download the Softpaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
    to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with
    a filename based on the SoftPaq number above.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
    and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to
    insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette has been created, you may delete the SoftPaq
    file downloaded in step 2.

5.  The ROMPaq diskette is a self booting diskette.  Place the
    ROMPaq diskette into drive A: and power cycle the server to begin
    updating the Compaq Remote Insight Board.
