DESCRIPTION:  The Compaq 4/8 GB SLR Tape Driver supports the Compaq
4/8 GB SLR Tape Drive.  This is an OEM driver from Tandberg Data Inc.  The
drive must be connected to any Compaq SCSI controller.  This SoftPaq is
designed to unpack files to hard drive, but work on diskette as well.  It
contains all file necessary to install this tape drive on a Compaq Server.


HOW TO USE: 

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for 
the files, or default to the download directory.
The following files will be created:
       DISK1
       OEMSETUP.INF
       README.TXT
       TANDQIC.SYS

Note:  NT 3.51 Operating System users need to install Service Pack 5 or set the
       MS-DOS Console to Full Screen, before executing the downloaded file.


3. After the files have been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. Instructions for installation of the Compaq 4/8 GB SLR Tape Driver are
contained in the README.TXT file.
