DESCRIPTION:  The Options ROMPaq diskette allows a user to
upgrade the ROM Firmware images for Compaq System product Options.  The
Options ROMPaq consists of one (1) diskette (Disk #4 Only):

Disk 4 - Options ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for the
         Compaq 9.1GB model DGHS09Y and Compaq 18.2GB model DGHS18Y
         Hard drives.

Note: The full Options ROMPaq 2.43, including these fixes, will be released
      at a later date.

Enhancements/Fixes:
- Upgraded Compaq 9.1GB model DGHS09Y and Compaq 18.2GB model DGHS18Y
  hard drive firmware from Version 01A0 to 01C0 to correct an potential
  issue with unexpected spin down of the drive.

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain one (1) formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert a formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. The Options ROMPaq diskette is a self-booting diskette.  Place the
ROMPaq diskette into your drive A: diskette drive and power cycle your
system to begin updating the appropriate components.
