drivers for any of the ATI Rage Graphics Controllers listed above, which are used in
certain models of the Deskpro EN, Deskpro EP, and Deskpro SB Series.
Optionally allows two installation diskettes to be created.
This is the initial version of this software. It is not an update. It is offered
here as a convenience to customers who may need to restore the driver to their computer
for any reason.
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, EMPTY directory on your
hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable
with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.
2. From the download directory, execute the SoftPaq. When executed
with no parameters, files are extracted into the current directory.
To extract the files into a different directory, specify the complete
path of the directory as a parameter:
SPxxxx <path>
Enter "Y" to confirm and files are unpacked into subdirectories named
Disk_01 and Disk_02 that are created under the download directory or the
directory specified.
3. After the folders Disk_01 and Disk_02 have been created,
you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.
4. The driver may be installed directly from the files on the download
directory or two installation diskettes can be created.
To create installation diskettes, run MAKEDISK.BAT.
To install the driver, run the downloaded file INSTALL.EXE.
For example, from Windows Program Manager select File, Run,
then enter the full path to INSTALL.EXE:
c:\<path>\disk_01\install
where <path> is the drive and directory chosen in step 2
Or if installing from the first created diskette, enter:
a:\install
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
5. When the installation is complete, close Windows and restart Windows
for the new driver to take effect.
6. After the driver has been installed, you may delete the files
from the download directory if you wish.
