DESCRIPTION: Unpacks the files needed to install the IBM OS/2 video
driver for the ATI Rage Pro Turbo 1x or 2x or Rage IIC Graphics Controller
used in certain Deskpro EN, Deskpro EP, and Deskpro SB Series models
(see NOTE above). Optionally allows two installation diskettes to be created.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your
hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable
with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From the download directory, execute the SoftPaq. When executed
with no parameters, files are extracted into the current directory.
To extract the files into a different directory, specify the complete
path of the directory as a parameter:

     SPxxxx <path>

Enter "Y" to confirm and files are unpacked into subdirectories named
Disk_01 and Disk_02 that are created under the download directory or the
directory specified.

3. After the folders Disk_01 and Disk_02 have been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. The driver may be installed directly from the files on the download
directory or two installation diskettes can be created.
To create installation diskettes, run MAKEDISK.BAT.

To install the driver from the hard drive, do the following:
Open an OS/2 full-screen or OS/2 window session.
At the OS/2 command prompt, enter the full path to OS2INST.EXE:

   c:\<path>\disk_01\OS2INST.exe

where <path> is the drive and directory chosen in step 2

Or if installing from optional diskettes, insert diskette #1 and enter:

   a:\OS2INST

When the MAIN menu displays, select Driver Installation, Install Enhanced driver.
Enter the following path when prompted:
   c:\<path>\disk_02\PM

Or if installing from optional diskettes, insert diskette #2.

Follow the on-screen instructions.

5. When the installation is complete, shut down and restart the computer for
the changes to take effect.

6. After the driver has been installed, you may delete the files
from the download directory if you wish.
