DESCRIPTION:  Unpacks files needed to install Compaq PC Card Support
for Windows NT 4.0 for the specific Armada and Presario models mentioned 
above.  Optionally creates three installation diskettes.  

ENHANCEMENTS:  The following list includes the enhanced features supported
 in Version 2.10 Rev A that are beyond Version 2.08 Rev A.
- Hot swapping Zoomed Video PC Cards
- Hot swapping Multi-Function PC Cards
- Hot swapping Combo PC Cards (only if LAN function is NOT loaded)
- 5.0 and 3.3 volt PC Cards (not supported on Armada 4100 and LTE 5000 Series)
- Cold, Warm, and Hot Docking with multiple (dis)similar controllers
- CardBus PC Cards with device details listed above
- Socket Power Management (Socket Off on-demand)
- PnP Configuration Methodology

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename 
based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
Entering "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files creates a new directory 
folder in the download directory.  All files are unpacked into this 
newly created directory.

3.  After the directory has been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. The application may be installed directly from the unpacked files,
or three (3) diskettes can be created.  To create the diskettes, run 
MAKEDISK.BAT.  

To install, first boot the system with no PC Cards in PCMCIA slots.
Then run SETUP.EXE, as follows:

Select Start on the Windows NT Task Bar, select Run, then enter:

     <path>\setup

     where <path> is the drive and directory from step 2
                  or a diskette drive letter if installing from diskette

Follow the CardWare installation and setup prompts.

5. After the installation is completed, you may delete the files created
in step 2.
