DESCRIPTION:  Unpacks the files needed to install Compaq Insight 
Management Agents for Microsoft Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 
for use with Armada 4200 Series notebooks.  

This product provides local alerting and SNMP agents 
for Compaq Portable Computers supporting Intelligent 
Manageability.  Local alerting notifies the user if 
the system temperature has exceeded normal operating 
conditions or an imminent drive failure has been detected.  
SNMP agents allow the system to be managed by SNMP-compliant
Management applications such as Compaq Insight Manager. 

Optionally creates two installation diskettes.

This is the first version of CIM Agents specifically for the Armada 4200 
Series.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename 
based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
Entering "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files creates a new directory 
folder in the download directory.  All files are unpacked into this 
newly created directory.

3.  After the directory has been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4.  The application may be installed directly from the unpacked files,
or two diskettes can be created.  To create the diskettes, run MAKEDISK. BAT.

To install, run SETUP.EXE.  For example, select Start, Run, and then enter:

  <path>\setup

  where <path> is the drive and directory from step two
               or a diskette drive letter if installing from optional diskettes

5. After the installation is completed, you may delete the files created in
step 2.
