DESCRIPTION:  Creates a diskette containing an update to the SpryNet 
Registration Wizard.  The update fixes a problem that can occur on 
Presario 4840 or 4850 models during the online registration process for 
SpryNet, a bundled software package for Internet access.  

The  following error message occurs: 
   "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.  
    If the problem persists, contact the program vendor." 

Following this message, the registration program terminates.

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. To install the update, run SETUP.EXE.  For example, with the diskette 
in drive A, select Start, select Run, then enter:

    a:\setup

6. Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the installation program.
