DESCRIPTION: This release provides updated system ROM images
for the latest maintenance releases of Proliant 800, 850R, 1200,
1600, 2500, 3000, and 5500 server products.
ROM E24 ProLiant 2500 (01/26/1998)
===================================
Added support to check for a bootable CD if the machine is
at the "Non-System Disk" message. Previously, when a key was
pressed the machine just checked for a bootable floppy.
(Fixed in E24 11/14/97 ROM which was not made available for
wide distribution.)
Upgraded support for the Compaq SMART-2DH and Compaq
SMART-2SL Array Controllers when used in a Standby
Server Recovery Option Configuration. (Fixed in E24 11/14/97
ROM which was not made available for wide distribution.)
Fixed Intel Pentium Pro B1 Step Processor errata that in
rare instances could result in system hangs.
Allow additional 32k of address space for Third Party PCI
Option ROMs. This allows a fourth Adaptec 2940uw SCSI Card
to be installed and execute its Option ROM properly.

HOW TO USE:
1. Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.
2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP5310.EXE.
3. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP5310 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.
4. After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file SP5310.EXE if you
wish.
5. Refer to README.1ST on the diskette for instructions on installing and using the
software.
