DESCRIPTION: Unpacks the files that can be used to install the video BIOS for
the Matrox Millennium II AGP video controller used in certain models of the
Deskpro 6000 Series (see NOTE above). Optionally allows an installation
diskette to be created.
Enhancements/Fixes: None
This is the same software that originally shipped with these models, and is
included in this SoftPaq as a convenience to customers who might need to
restore their units. This release of Rev C corrects an internal numbering
scheme issue that has no effect on functionality.
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your
hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable
with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.
2. From the download directory, execute the SoftPaq. When executed
with no parameters, files are extracted into the current directory.
To extract the files into a different directory, specify the complete
path of the directory as a parameter:
SPxxxx <path>
Enter "Y" to confirm and files are unpacked into the download
directory or the directory specified. A subdirectory is also
created containing Matrox video BIOS files.
3. After the files have been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.
4. The video BIOS may be installed directly from the files on the download
directory or an installation diskette can be created.
To create an installation diskette, run MAKEDISK.BAT.
To install the video BIOS, unzip the file FILES1.ZIP, then run the
file UPDBIOS.BAT. For example, enter:
<path>\updbios.bat
where <path> is the drive and directory chosen in step 2
or a diskette drive letter (such as A:) if installing from diskette
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
