DESCRIPTION:			

 The Support Software Diskettes for Novell Products (NSSD) contains NetWare
 drivers and support information to optimize the performance of NetWare and
 intraNetWare on Compaq servers.



UPDATES ON THIS RELEASE

?    CPQSBD.NLM v2.00 adds support for PCI Hot Plug add for Compaq and
     third-party adapter cards.

?    CPQFC.HAM is the Host Adapter Module to support the Compaq Fibre
     Channel Storage System.

?    CPQSCSI.HAM v1.10 adds support for the Compaq ProLiant 3000.

?    CPQSCSI.HAM v1.10 adds support for the Compaq Dual Channel
     Wide-Ultra SCSI-3 Controller.

?    CPQSHD.CDM v1.10 adds support for Compaq Fibre Channel Array
     Controller devices.

?    CPQONLIN.NLM v2.10 has been enhanced to support the configuration
     of devices attached to Compaq Fibre Channel Array Controllers.

?    CPQHLTH.NLM v3.14 has been updated to detect and prevent false
     redundant failure messages on Compaq ProLiant 1500 systems
     equipped with redundant power supplies.

?    CPQHLTH.NLM v3.14 has been updated to prevent PCI Hot Plug driver
     errors.

?    CPQHLTH.NLM v3.14 includes an Intelligent Power Down Manager
     feature that enables the server to gracefully down when the power
     switch is pressed, before power is shut off from the system,
     preventing accidental data corruption or loss.




HOW TO USE:

 1. Obtain four (4) formatted 1.44-MB diskettes.

 2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
    to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
    a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

 3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
    and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
    insert the formatted diskettes in a drive to create the diskettes.

 4. After the diskettes have been created, you may delete the  
    SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

 5. For installation instructions, refer to INSTALL.RDM on diskette 2.
