DESCRIPTION:  Unpacks files required to install Version 3.50 of the Compaq 
Systems Management Toolkit.  This is the full package; a previous installation 
is not required.  The Compaq Systems Management Toolkit has been available on 
the Compaq Management CD in Compaq SmartStart starting with Version 3.00. The 
version of the Toolkit in this SoftPaq supersedes those earlier versions.
The Toolkit has not previously been available in a SoftPaq.  

The Compaq Systems Management Toolkit provides files for integrating 
Compaq Insight Manager with Norton Administrator for Networks, HP OpenView/Unix, 
IBM NetView for AIX, SunNet Manager, Novell ManageWise and Microsoft Systems 
Management Server. 

Fixes/Enhancements:

- Adds files to integrate with Novell ManageWise.

- Fixes several 'string too long' errors in the Inventory Collector Management 
  Information File (MIF) ouput. 

- Adds support for the Deskpro Ownership Tag attribute (HP, IBM, Sun).

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename 
based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
Enter "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files into the download directory.

3. After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the self-extracting 
file downloaded in step 1.

4. Copy the resulting files to the existing Systems Management Toolkit 
directory, usually \CPQIS1\CPQIS\TOOLKIT on an Integration Server, overwriting 
the earlier versions of the files.  

Or, if the Systems Management Toolkit was not previously installed, create 
a \TOOLKIT directory and copy the files into it.

5. After the files have been copied, you may delete the files from the download 
directory if you wish.
