DESCRIPTION:  The Compaq Survey Utility is an online agent that captures 
critical hardware and operating system configuration information on 
Compaq servers without interrupting server operation.  It automates a 
configuration history log, allowing administrators to identify and 
compare configuration changes.

Changes in Version 1.12:
- Fixed problem related to Compaq Integrated Management Log 
   (secondary fan failure).

Changes in Version 1.11:
- Added support for Compaq Proliant 1600 and 3000 Server.
- Fixed problem related to SCSI_PASS_THROUGH_DIRECT and CPQARRAY driver.
- Fixed channel failure problem during Windows 95 installation.
- Fixed problem with 100% CPU utilization in Windows NT. 
- Modified Survey to handle improperly terminated registry info in Windows NT.
- Fixed Channel failure problems related to namepipe/TCPIP.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for 
the files, or default to the download directory.

self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.
