DESCRIPTION: This SoftPaq unpacks the files required to install
the video driver for IBM OS/2 for the Compaq S3 ViRGE/GX
Graphics Controller used in the above-mentioned Deskpro 4000 models.
Optionally allows a driver diskette to be created.

Enhancements/Fixes:
 - Corrects system lockup when connecting to either a 5250 or 3270 using
   Comm Manager.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your
hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable
with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From the download directory, execute the SoftPaq. When executed
with no parameters, files are extracted into the current directory.
To extract the files into a different directory, specify the complete
path of the directory as a parameter:

     SPxxxx <path>

Enter "Y" to confirm and files are unpacked into the download
directory or the directory specified.

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. The driver may be installed directly from the files on the download
directory or driver diskette can be created. To create a driver diskette,
run MAKEDISK.BAT.

To install the driver, run SETUP.CMD. From an OS/2 full-screen or OS/2 window
session, enter:

     <path>\disk01\setup
where <path> is the drive and directory chosen in step 2

      or

     A:\setup
	if installing from diskette

Follow on-screen instructions and select VGA mode.

5. When the installation is complete, shut down and restart the computer for
the changes to take effect.

6. After the driver has been installed, you may delete the files
from the download directory if you wish.
