DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq creates two files -- a description file and a
self-extracting executable file.  The self-extracting executable file 
contains Compaq Support Software for Microsoft Windows NT 4.00 
that supports the following subsystems and features of 
Compaq Professional Workstations:
 
   Multimedia Fire GL 4000 Video Accelerator 
   Compaq Support Software diskette Installation utility

Multimedia Fire GL 4000 Video Accelerator

  Updated the Multimedia Fire GL 4000 driver from v1.2.24.1 to v1.2.27.7.  
  This driver enhances the method for frame buffer reads which speeds up the 
  operations of the driver.  This driver provides the highest quality 3D support 
  at 1280x1024 true color, double buffered.  If required, other resolutions may 
  be selected. However, only true color modes are available.

  Added the "UnigraphicsSupport" control panel profile to fix EDS Unigraphics 
  visual anomalies.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for 
the files, or default to the download directory.
The following files will be created:
       README.TXT
       DMND.EXE

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. From the directory in which the files are created, execute the 
self-extracting executable:
       DMND.EXE [ENTER]

5. Follow the instructions on the screen to extract (unzip) the support 
software files to a folder on your hard drive and run the program 
SETUP.EXE to install the software.
