SUPERSEDES: SP4812, SP3295

DESCRIPTION: This SoftPaq unpacks the files required to install
the video driver for Windows NT 3.51 for the S3 V2/GX or ViRGE/GX
controller used in certain Deskpro models (see PRODUCTS AFFECTED above).
It also supports previous Cirrus 5434/36/46 and QVision 1280/P
and 1280/P+ graphics controllers. Optionally allows a driver diskette
to be created.

This version fixes the following problems:
  - Test screen color is corrupted at 1280x1024x16 and 1152x864x16.
  - Full screen mode causes bottom bar to turn black at 320x400.
  - Small black lines appear in Fox&Bear (limited mode only).
  - HCT test fails at 1024x768x16 and 1152x864x16.
  - Page fault occurs in the HCT check resolution test.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your
hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable
with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From the download directory, execute the SoftPaq. When executed
with no parameters, files are extracted into the current directory.
To extract the files into a different directory, specify the complete
path of the directory as a parameter:

     SPxxxx <path>

Enter "Y" to confirm and files are unpacked into the download
directory or the directory specified.

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. The driver may be installed directly from the files on the download
directory or driver diskette can be created. To create a driver diskette,
run MAKEDISK.BAT.
To install the driver, go to the Control Panel and select:

   Display/Settings/Display Type

Verify that the Adapter Type is one of the ones listed above.
If it is not, then cancel and exit.
If it is, then continue to select:

   Change/Have Disk

Type in the path to the download directory or select "Browse" to
specify the location of the files extracted in step 2.

5. Select OK to install the driver.

6. After the driver has been installed, you may delete the files
from the download directory if you wish.
