for Compaq Version 1.55 Rev A.

NEW FEATURES AND UPDATES:

This section details the new features and problems fixed by
the contents of the Compaq NIC Support Software Diskette
v1.55 for OS/2.

1. Compaq Token Ring ISA Driver for DOS

   CPQTRISA.DOS driver v1.10, has been updated to fix the
   following problem:
   * The packet size is determined by protocol.ini settings
   and the maximum packet size is increased to 16,384 bytes.

2. Compaq Token Ring PCI Driver for DOS

   CPQTRPCI.DOS driver v1.10, has been updated to fix the
   following problem:
   * The packet size is determined by protocol.ini settings
   and the maximum packet size is increased to 16,384 bytes.

3. Compaq 3 Com Driver for DOS

   TL3C3X9.DOS driver v1.10, has been updated to fix the
   following problem:
   * The packet size is determined by protocol.ini settings
   and the maximum packet size is increased to 16,384 bytes.

4. Compaq NC4621 Token-Ring NIC driver for OS/2

   The Compaq Token Ring driver CPQTRND.OS2 v5.08 supports
   Compaq NC4621 Token Ring NIC PCI 4/16 WOL Controller.


HOW TO USE:

1. Download the Softpaq to an empty directory on your
   hard drive and change to that directory. The file that
   is downloaded is SP4750.EXE.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the Softpaq
   file:
      SP4750 [ENTER]

   The following files should be created:

   QRST5.EXE
   276801US._01
   276801US._02
   SP4750.TXT

3. Obtain 2 formatted 1.44-MB diskettes.

4. To create the diskettes, run QRST5 and follow the
   On-screen instructions.

5. After the diskettes are created, you may delete the
   downloaded file SP4750.EXE and the other files created
   on your hard drive if you wish.

6. Refer to UPDATES.HTM on the First Diskette by typing
         A:\Viewme A:\HTMLRDR\UPDATES.HTM
   at the OS/2 prompt for installation instructions
   and additional information. OR
   Refer UPDATES.RDM on the generated diskettes by
   typing A:\Readme
